# What people record with Rill.

Explain a bug, collect a recording from a customer, review what an agent checked, or hand the details to the next person.

## Bug reports that show the problem

Reproduce the issue on your screen, preview the recording, and share one link. Reviewers can pause on the exact moment and pin a comment to that frame.

1. Record a tab, window, or screen for up to 10 minutes
2. Preview before the video uploads
3. Share the link and discuss frame by frame

Screen recordings capture video. They do not include browser diagnostics.

## Recordings from customers and clients

Send a recording request link. They record their screen in the browser, preview it, and send it without creating a Rill account. The recording arrives in your library.

1. Create a request with what you need to see
2. Send the link to your customer or client
3. Watch and comment when their recording arrives

Each link accepts one recording and expires after seven days.

## Reviewing your coding agent’s work

Ask your agent to list the browser scenarios in a change and record each one with Rill. Review the recordings, what passed, what failed, and anything it could not test.

1. Give your agent the change or PR
2. It runs each scenario and records a separate Rill
3. Review the recording links and the agent’s result

Requires the Rill CLI and an agent that can connect to a supported browser.

## Checking a public site

Rill opens the site in a cloud browser, follows your instructions, and records the run. When diagnostics are captured, inspect console messages, network requests, and the timeline beside the video.

1. Enter a public URL and describe the task
2. Rill runs it in a cloud browser
3. Watch the recording and inspect what was captured

Works with publicly reachable websites. Cloud-run credits apply separately from recording and storage allowances.

## Handing context to an agent

Share a recording link with your coding agent. With the Rill CLI, it can read the included console, network, and timeline details to decide what to check next.

1. Share the recording link
2. Your agent reads it with rill inspect
3. It works from what the recording captured

Anyone with an active share link can view the recording and its included diagnostics.

 $  rill inspect https://userill.dev/s/…

**Console** 2 errors

**Network** 1 failed request · POST /api/orders 500

**Timeline** 38 events
