Rill / Legal
Terms of Service
Clear terms for recording, reviewing, and sharing browser evidence.
Last updated: September 14, 2026
1. Your agreement with Rill
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and RunaLabs LLC (“Rill”, “we”, “us”) covering userill.dev, the Rill CLI, browser recording tools, and related services. By signing in, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information.
You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you use Rill for an organization, you must have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Contact hello@runalabs.dev with questions.
2. Accounts and authorized agents
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in accounts and agent credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize, the agents and tools you connect, and the permissions you grant. Revoke credentials you no longer need and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
You must have permission to access and record the websites, systems, and information used with Rill. Obtain any required permissions from people whose information, screen, or voice you capture.
3. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of your recordings, diagnostics, comments, and other content. You give Rill a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service and carry out your sharing instructions. We may use service providers to do this.
This permission lasts while we retain your content for those purposes, including the time needed to complete deletion and comply with legal obligations. It does not give us ownership of your content or permission to publish private recordings for advertising. You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit the content.
Rill and its licensors retain ownership of the Service. You may use it within these Terms and the limits of your plan. Separate open-source licenses continue to govern components distributed under those licenses.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Rill to break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, capture information without permission, distribute malware, harass others, or facilitate fraud. Do not bypass authentication, exceed authorized access, probe systems without authorization, interfere with the Service, evade plan limits, or attempt to obtain another person’s credentials.
Report suspected abuse or infringement to hello@runalabs.dev, including enough information for us to investigate. We may restrict access to content or accounts when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, or legal requirements.
6. Plans, payments, and cancellation
Free and paid plans have the limits described on our Pricing page and at checkout. Before you subscribe, checkout shows the price, billing interval, and applicable taxes. Signing in alone does not purchase a subscription.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until canceled. You authorize our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the subscription and renewals. Manage or cancel your subscription through Billing. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, with access continuing until then.
Except where required by law or expressly offered at checkout, payments are non-refundable and partial billing periods are not refunded. Contact us about billing errors or refund requests. We will give advance notice of changes to recurring prices so you can cancel before the change applies. Failed payments may result in restricted paid features.
7. Third-party tools
Rill works with sign-in providers, payment services, browsers, and tools or AI agents you choose. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for reviewing their permissions and for actions your agents take. We do not control third-party websites or guarantee that integrations will remain available.
8. Service changes and ending use
We may improve, change, or discontinue features and may suspend access for material breaches, non-payment, security risks, or legal requirements. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve a problem or retrieve content. Urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action.
You can stop using Rill at any time, cancel paid subscriptions in Billing, and contact hello@runalabs.dev to request account deletion. Stopping use alone does not cancel a subscription. Our Privacy Policy describes retention and deletion. Terms that by their nature need to continue, including payment obligations already incurred, ownership, and liability limitations, survive termination.
9. Availability and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise that every recording will complete or that all content can be recovered.
To the extent permitted by law, RunaLabs LLC will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or business interruption. Our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid for Rill in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or any non-waivable consumer rights. Applicable mandatory law prevails over conflicting terms.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and will identify the revised date on this page. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or another appropriate channel before they take effect, except where an immediate change is required by law or security needs. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance; otherwise, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Please contact RunaLabs LLC at hello@runalabs.dev about these Terms or a dispute so we can try to resolve it.
